Not the Khunming in China, but a delightful Isaans village set in rugged and beautiful ountryside.
Hidden in a cleft in the rocks below the "Monkey's Head" (top middle thumbnail) is a small well kept Temple (top right thumbnail). Walk through the cleft and there is a well marked path to take you around the hill and back to the village.
As with all Isaans villages there is a good assortment of food and drink shops. Being a "farang angrit" (Englishman) I like my hot tea with milk and sugar - happily it was no problem to find it in Khunming mon Thai.
